This past weekend marked something really special for Operation Providing Hope - our first annual golf tournament fundraiser. What started as a simple idea - bring people together for a fun day on the course while raising crucial support for our mission - turned into something much more meaningful.

When participants arrived, clubs in hand and smiles on their faces, you could feel the energy right away. There was laughter on the green, friendly competition at the tees, and genuine conversations about why everyone showed up - not just for golf, but for impact.
This wasn’t about who had the lowest score. It was about community.
Whether folks came because they love golf, because they support OPH’s mission, or because they wanted to make a difference in someone’s life - every swing, every cheer, and every donation added up to something much bigger than a day on the fairway.
Throughout the day, players and volunteers alike reminded us of why events like this matter.
A fundraiser isn’t just about the money raised - though every dollar counts immensely - it’s about bringing people together to feel the mission in real time. You could see it in the high-fives on the green, in the photos of friends and families enjoying the sunshine, and in the way people talked about the difference they hoped their support would make.
After the tournament, as we gathered to celebrate, share stories, and thank everyone who made the day possible, there was a moment of quiet appreciation - the kind that happens when you look around and realize this community genuinely cares. Sponsors, players, volunteers, donors - you showed up not just with your golf gear, but with your hearts wide open.
A big thank you to every person who came out, cheered, donated, and made this first event a success. Your support helps fuel OPH’s work and brings us one step closer to the goals we’re striving toward together.
Here’s to the first annual - and many more to come!!!
